Campaigning for Change
I am passionate about advocating for young people in care and care-experienced individuals. My goal is to challenge outdated systems, transform the way care is approached, and ensure that every young person feels seen, supported, and respected.
I focus on driving meaningful change in areas such as:
- Terminology and language: Promoting respectful and empowering ways to talk about care.
- Care system reform: Highlighting gaps and pushing for policies that truly benefit children and young people.
- Awareness and support: Ensuring that care-experienced voices are heard and valued in all decisions that affect them.
- Education and understanding: Helping professionals recognise the wide range of complex trauma and emotional dysregulation that many young people face, so they can respond with empathy and effectiveness.
Through campaigns, advocacy, and raising awareness, I aim to make the care system more compassionate, inclusive, and responsive to the real needs of those it serves.
